 Russian Patent and Trade Mark Attorney
Elena Dmitrenko obtained a M. Sc. Degree in Economy from the St. Petersburg ShipBuilding Institute in 1985 and a Diploma from the Moscow Institute of Industrial Property in 2003; registered as a Patent and Trade Mark Attorney in 2003.
1985 to 1993: Mechanical Engineer at Izhora Plants; later, Mechanical and Design Engineer at the Central Bureau of the Baltic Shipbuilding Design Office (BaltSudoProekt) dealing with designing of marine engines.
1994 to 1996: Computer Engineer at Telecommunication Service Company UltraStar.
1999 to 2000: Patent Assistant in PROCESS INSIGHT, a Scottish design center located in St. Petersburg, gaining experience in foreign patenting, especially in the field of electronics, computers and software-related inventions.
2000: joined PATENTICA to fill in position of a Patent and Trademark Assistant; since 2003, Patent and Trademark Attorney; since 2005, Head of Trade Mark Department.
Mrs. Elena Dmitrenko's extensive experience covers various aspects of IP protection including patents, designs, trademarks, utility models, computer programs and databases. Special areas of her technical expertise include mechanical and electrical engineering, telecommunications and electronics.
Elena handles many TM cases relating to clearance of new trademarks, registration and prosecution of trademarks world-wide for many of our domestic clients ranging from consumer goods and food manufactures to fashion designers to telecommunication services providers and high-tech companies.
In her current position of the Head of TM department, Elena is involved in numerous opposition and cancellation proceedings at the Chamber of Patent Disputes of ROSPATENT through to final decision and enforcement cases in Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation.
